English term or phrase: to creep into a load
The advantage of controlling travel speed by throttle pedal position in one of the optional transmissions is really so that as we're operating the truck we no longer have to try to manage truck travel speed at the same time we're trying to manage engine and hydraulic speed. So what we've got now is, instead of the throttle controlling engine torque, the throttle electronically manages the engine speed. If I'm an operator and I want ***to creep into a load***, for example, to pick up a pallet, or if I want ***to creep into a rack*** to pick up a load, if I set five percent or three percent of travel speed with a pedal -- in other words, if I just barely crack the pedal -- that's the speed the truck is going to move at. [...]
The truck is going ***to creep ***at that controlled speed. So my ability as an operator to accurately place the truck, move into a load, pick the load up and move out more productively, more controllably, is really enhanced by controlling travel speed through the throttle pedal, rather than controlling torque.

rouler tres lentement pour pouvoir soulever un chargement
Explanation:
I know that's what it means, but I totally didn't say it in the best way. Also, the accents are missing because I'm not on my computer at home at the moment :)

It just means to go very slowly so that you can aim the truck in such a way that the lifting mechanism can get underneath the load...
