extension élongation (de chaîne) Explanation: Je dirais que "extension" est un calque à éviter et que "élongation" (sous-entendu de la chaîne carbonée, du squelette peptidique, ...) ou "élongation de chaîne" est une bonne traduction en synthèse peptidique.
