Explanation:
spore forming in French is sporulé, therefore spore forming bacteria are bactéries sporulées. Then you add the thermophilic caracteristic: thermophiles. Et voilà!

Comme il y a d'autres organismes thermophiles sporulés que les bactéries, on peut remplacer bactéries par un terme plus général, tel que organismes, ou germes comme FX Fraipont l'a suggéré.
