English to French translations [PRO]
Medical - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) / titration curve analysis | | English term or phrase: total viable microbial count | Product water used to prepare dialysate, concentrates from powder at a dialysis facility, or to reprocess dialysers for multiple use, should contain a total viable microbial count less than 200 CFU/ml and an endotoxin concentration less hat 2 EU/ml. The action level for the total viable microbial count in the product water shall be 50 CFU/ml and the action level for the endotoxin concentration shall be 1 EU/ml.
I trying to judge a test translation I had someone do, and since I am not that well-versed in this field, could someone tell me if the term used is correct here? Unfortunately, Google gives me no hits for "numération microbienne viable totale", whereas the English term has well over 1000 hits:
L'eau traitée destinée à la préparation du dialysat, à la reconstitution des concentrés à partir de poudre dans les établissements de dialyse ou au retraitement des dialyseurs à usage multiple, doit contenir une numération microbienne viable totale inférieure à 200 CFU/ml, ainsi qu'une concentration d'endotoxine inférieure à 2 EU/ml.
