Pour ces expériences, l'échantillon de verre a été simplement collé sur un doigt froid en cuivre. Pendant le fonctionnement du système laser, aucun système de refroidissement n'a été utilisé. Cependant, aucun échauffement du système n'a été observé, indiquant de faibles effets thermiques induits par la pompe.
