Pour moi, c'est tout le contraire! Un "credit account" est un compte sur lequel vous pouvez retirer de l'argent conformément aux conditions d'un contrat signé avec votre banque par exemple : une ligne de crédit.

Un "compte créditeur" est un "account with a credit balance". Un "credit account" est plutôt débiteur!!!

Explanation:
"Current acount" est synonyme de "checking account" (US?) et sont lea même chose qu'un "compte courant / compte chèques". Tu peux y mettre de l'argent et en retirer. Si tu retires moins que tu as mis, à priori, tu restes créditeur. Par contre, si tu dépneses plus que le solde de ce compte, il devient débiteur.

Compte débiteur = overdrawn account.


Beaucoup de contrats d'emprunt, de prêts, de crédits (on peut les appeler par plusieurs noms), ont une carte de crédit avec, mais pas obligatoirement. On fait des achats ou on retire de l'argent avec cette carte, par exemple. A la fin du mois, on reçoit un relevé des mouvements sur ce compte et plusieurs options se posent. On peut rembourser un montant minimum, un montant fixe pré-établi par contrat ou rembourser l'intégralité de ce qui est dû. Tout dépend du contrat.

C'est un "compte" dans la mesure où des sommes sont débitées et créditées, mais c'est un contrat de crédit quand même, un type de crédit à la consommation.
