As part of HMG's response it was agreed that George Foulkes MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department For International Development (DFID), would visit Montserrat from 31st August.

Her Majesty's Government have reaffirmed the UK's commitment to ensuring the viability of the North of the island for all those who wish to remain on or return to Montserrat.
