Business/Commerce (general)
English term or phrase: analogous to doing so.
This would not violate the FCPA because (1) you are not giving anything of value to the government official, (2) you are not seeking to influence any official decision or the results of the survey, and (3) it is permissible to make reasonable and bona fide expenditures directly related to the “promotion, demonstration or explanation of a company’s products or services”, and this course of action is reasonably analogous to doing so.

similaire

Explanation:
Je ne crois pas qu'il soit nécessaire de traduire "to doing so" si la phrase est bien tournée.

Raisonnablement / assez similaire. Éviter le redondant "relativement similaire".

Le troisième point indique que, puisqu'il est permis de faire XXX et que YYY (le fameux "this") est une action / une procédure similaire, YYY est également acceptable.

Reference information:
For anyone who hasn't heard this word before, analogous means 'similar in some ways but different in others'. For example, computers and brains are analogous.

It's not a very commonly used word. Most of the examples I could find used 'analogous with', and I could only find one example that used 'analogous to', but there is no difference between 'analogous with' and 'analogous to', it's just that we more commonly say 'analogous with'.
