Would it be accurate to translate it by " il acquiterra le pret hypothecaire en cours"

si on est dans un contexte de garantie financière (questions précédentes), je ne crois pas qu'il s'agisse de la mainlevée de l'hypothèque (aspect légal), mais de l'aspect fiancier, "mortgage" signifiant ici "prêt hypothécaire", et non pas "hypothèque".
