L'expression provient d'un rapport d'inspection suivant les tremblements de terre récents au Japon.
Voici le peu de contexte dont je dispose :
"Server inside factory" [...]
"Rack holding rolled dies" [...]
"Device functioned properly. No problems. No falling dies, no displacement of rack, no impact. Due to residual effects, device had to be returned to the neutral position manually."
Pour info, « device » correspond ici à un dispositif d'isolation sismique.
