problème : traduire ou non car ça ressemble à un label/logo ou marque de fabrique,
et si oui traduire comment ?

Personally, Francis, I wouldn't translate it; the expression is SO universal, and so universally understood, there seems really little point — I think this term has now slipped into 'mainstream franglais', and while I always deprecate the use of an anglicism where a good French alternative term exists, personally, in this case, I think it is justified.

In any case, how many people understand exactly what is meant by it? I have seen it used in many ways, arguably with different nuances of meaning, so you might be well advised to 'leave well alone'!

Il ne s'agit pas d'un label/logo, ni d'une marque de fabrique... C'est simplement une façon d'exprimer la participation de tel ou tel logiciel / éditeur etc.

Au départ, je crois que ça vient du monde auto, où ça signifiait "avec moteur fabriqué par..."

en fait j'ai trouvé un complètement d'infos plus loin, il y a eu une coopération/délégation à ProQuest qui a "réalisé" l'enquête. J'ai donc traduit. Merci néanmoins pour l'aide.

agree  Eric Le Carre: Je partage l'avis de Tony : Ne pas traduire. Cependant, IBM, par exemple, suggère dans ses glossaires produits de traduire par 'Technologie xxx' (ex., Powered by Eclipse = Technologie Eclipse). Généralement, il s'agit de mettre en relief une techno.
