When should I leave User Account Control turned on?
User Account Control can prove useful when you are installing downloaded software. It allows you to identify programs that are starting. In many cases, several programs can start when installing or running an application. Identifying these programs will help you to understand why a program is trying to run or access the internet. You can also remember these program's names and not be alarmed if you see them in the Task Manager, where previously with UAC, you might have to guess what a number of the programs in the Task Manager were.
