"Two cost-effective μEye digital color cameras were incorporated on each side of the boom. Each camera is able to cover two sections of the boom (97 cm each section). Cameras will be attached using USB cables to the computer on the Yamaha Rhino. Custom software capable of processing the images to detect weeds, bare spots and blueberry plants in real-time will be able to send weed or plant triggering signals through a Labjack digital i/o and data acquisition device to the VRC. The VRC will have user programmable inputs such as a before and after distance buffer, delay time and ground speed correction."
