Marketing - Computers (general) / e-mail etiquette
English term or phrase: copying over someone's head
dans "There may be good reasons to keep people visibly in the loop, for example if your company has processes that require this kind of visibility. Visibility can also be used for the wrong reasons. This is known as copying over someone's head. Copying over someone's head for the wrong reasons can negatively impact other people and strain workplace relationships".

"do you copy that?"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=copy

"he went over my head to the director  : il m'a court-circuité et est allé voir le directeur" Robert et Collins

"Don't copy an e-mail over someone's head

When you start copying multiple people on your e-mails, you will do nothing but hurt your relationships and this escalation will not help you get things done. Sanders says when a boss is copied on an escalation note from one of their direct reports, 85 per cent of the time they don't read it. They will delete it 70 per cent of time as soon as they see the subject line."
