Mais je me demande si "tunnels jumeaux" ne serait pas conforme à l'idée. Il doit s'agir de deux tunnels cote à cote, chacun abritant un sens de circulation.

Explanation:
si c'est bien un tunnel pour la circulation routière ou ferroviaire, j'ai entendu "bitube" assez fréquemment (notamment au sujet des travaux du tunnel routier de Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines en Alsace) - et il y a des exemples sur google
