Strong highly flavored sweet liquor usually drunk after a meal.

CORDIAL : pourquoi pas une "liqueur"?

P.S. et N.B. Selon le style, : Comme une boisson tonique ou une liqueur... mais il n'est pas clair si le vinaigre était utilisé pour des propriétés curatives (stimulant/tonique ou dépuratif) ou en plus comme une eau-de-vie. En fait, si le contexte fournit plus de détails, je préfèrerais "eau de vie".
