Cette oxydation se fait à base d'eau oxygénée et d'ammoniaque, atteignant la surface mais aussi les couches moyennes et internes de la tige pilaire. Cette action chirurgicale rend le cheveu rêche et terne, état réversible par soins cosmétiques et un rinçage abondant.
Le salon de coiffure est un lieu de détente, de confiance… presque thérapeutique.
