Ne parle-t-on pas de crème apaisante ou huile apaisante plutôt en cas de rougeurs, de boutons, coups de soleil ?
Pour la toilette des bébés, adoucissante me paraît plus indiqué

Explanation:
Je pense également que le verbe apaiser sous-entend quelque chose à apaiser, alors que je comprends l'utilisation comme destinée à être quotidienne.
J'ai deux huiles à la maison pour mes filles, et elles portent cette appellation "huile de soin".
