Dans la série Beverly Hills, je suis confrontée à l'expression "dean of student" que je n'arrive pas à traduire convenablement (il me faut quelque chose de court). Peut-on parler de doyen ici ? Quel est le rôle de ce dean of student ?

D'après mes recherches, j'ai trouvé ceci, mais rien ne me satisfait vraiment :
- Doyen des services aux étudiants
- Directeur des services aux étudiants
- Surveillant général

Je pensais à quelque chose comme "responsable des élèves", mais je ne suis pas vraiment sûre de moi.
Voici le contexte :

- I took one of Brandon's old term papers off the computer and I turned it in with my name on it.
- What?
- It was a bogus class. An independent study course. We had a rookie professor. I thought it would be a slam dunk. Now the Dean of Students and the Conduct Committee want my head.

"Dean" en anglais est plus précis ; ce "statut" n'existe pas à proprement parler dans les universités françaises.
Il/elle est effectivement une personne différente du Doyen de la fac.
