However, the eaxct way the term is used in your text may require you to modify the way you express it. My suggestion above would be suitable if it were, e.g., in a list of specs.
area of conductor = 25 mm²
..and if it was crystal clear that it could only be talking about a conductor, you might even shorten it to just:
section = 25 mm²
'section' in this context means 'cross-sectional area', which is of course the type of 'area' being referred to (well, usually, anyway — unless there's something weird about your context!) |
