English term or phrase: Light tug
Align the alignment mark on the cable connector with the alignment mark on the receptacle of the battery tray, and then insert. A light tug on the strain relief of the cable will verify that the connector is fully inserted and locked in place.

Explanation:
I don't think we're talking about a "remorqueur léger" ;) so it must simply be "donner un léger coup" or "tirer d'un coup léger"
