Higher value = shorter impulses, less sensitive reaction
Examples: - Oscillating temperature without distinct initial overshot: Pb too low;
- The set point is reached very slowly after initial exceeding: Pb too high.

I = integral action time Ti (min):
Lower value = shorter impulse gaps, faster balancing
Higher value = longer impulse gaps, slower balancing
Examples: the set value is reached very slowly without overshooting: Tn too high;
high initial overshot followed by fading oscillation: Tn too low.

Explanation:
Équilibrage du "impulse gap" par rapport au "integral action time".

The lower the "impulse gap" is, the slower the integral action time will be.

L'équélibre est atteint lorsque le "integral action time" est acceptable et que l'exactitude / la précision du résultat convient.

@Michel :

"balancing" est fréquemment utilisé dans le sens de "équiibrage" comme c'est je crois le cas ici.

Il y a plein de références sur le Web :

La vaste majorité des référence n'ont évidemment rien à voir avec un viscosimètre.

Plein de glossaires indiquent bien que dans certains cas "balancing" = équilibrage, ce qui est selon moi le cas ici.

équilibrer = créer un équilibre ... entre "impulse gap" par rapport au "integral action time".

Je crois qu'on parle d'équilibrage des paramètres d'un viscosimètre.
