English term or phrase:refloat voltage
Hello everyone,
i have another question about another term I didn't find elsewhere previously.
If someone have an idea?
Context :
"Refloat Voltage or Re-Float Voltage setting, which activates the charger again."
"If ac transfer control is set to grid (or if charger control is set to off), the charger goes through Silent as noted and proceeds to Float only when the batteries drop to the Refloat voltage level."
this part presents the 3 steps of a battery : bulk, float, absorption. I know that "float" means "phase flottante". But i didn't find anything for "refloat".
Explanation: Well, that's what it means; just how to express that succinctly in FR, I'll leave to others to suggest!
I think 'refloat' is a made-up word here, but the explanation makes clear what the intended meaning is.
By the way, I'd be wary of that 'flottant' — that term is used in electronics etc. to describe something that is 'floating' (i.e. not referenced to some specific voltage ref.), but I think you'll find that this rather different meaning in the field of batteries / chargers usually uses a different term; 'charge d'entretien' that I've used above is suggested by GDT, and I believe other terms may be used when it is a verb etc.
So I'd look into that very carefully before committing yourself! try things like emregency lighting units etc., which usually use a float charging system, and might give you some good vocab; I think there is a BAES lighting unit in FR which might be a good avenue for research, e.g.:

many thanks for the explanation
4 hrs confidence:
tension de ré-enclenchement de la charge
Explanation: Les chargeurs électroniques interrompent la charge dès que la batterie atteint une certaine tension et reprennent la charge dès que cette tension s'abaisse en dessous d'un seuil programmé dans l'appareil.
On dit que ces batteries fonctionnent en "floating".
