Yes, 'bornes' do exist as one type of 'terminal', but here, even from the rather skimpy context available, I am sure that this is 'terminal' in the sense of a 'cosse' — something you crimp on the end of a cable, and is then used as a pin/socket in a connector.

here has no proper translation value; these are simply the type of pins and sockets that can be inserted into connector housings in modular connector systems.

I wouldn't refer to them as 'bornes' as you suggest, since that's not really what their function is; if anything, the sense of 'terminal here is 'cosse' — these are a type of terminal / cosse that can be crimped onto the cable and then inserted into the connector housing to perform as a connector pin/socket. Try researching various types of modular connector system and see how the components are described in FR.
