Dans la phrase: "Wall to set-top box VCR to TV using coaxial cable" dans un guide de l'utilisateur d'une chaîne audio-vidéo (entertainment center). J'ai le PDF avec le manuel anglais, le boîtier décodeur (set-top box) est un élément, le magnétoscope en est un autre, est-ce une erreur dans la formulation anglaise ou est-ce que "magnétoscope à boîtier décodeur" a du sens?

Ce n'est qu'une idée. Il s'agit d'un décodeur doté des fonctions d'un magnétoscope. C'est peut-être pour cela que les deux termes sont associés. Rogers emploie le terme "enregistreur vidéo personnel" et Vidéotron "enregistreur numérique personnel" (http://www.videotron.com/services/fr/television/5_5.jsp)
J'ai indiqué que mon taux de confiance est "medium", parce que je ne suis pas certaine que c'est de ce type d'appareil qu'il s'agit, mais si c'est le cas, alors je rehausse mon niveau de confiance.
