English to French translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial | | English term or phrase: drive gearmotor | Hello everyone,
I am new here and this is my very first question:
I am currently translating some technical data sheets on industrial equipment, one of these sheets is for a dry polymer feeder system. This feeder is equiped with a "drive gearmotor" and I am having trouble determining exactly what this is... and there are no specifications...
I am pondering "motoréducteur à engrenages"....
Thanks for your precious help ! |

| | motoréducteur d'entraînement | Explanation: Welcome Saturnie,
Francis Marc is correct but this is the term I more often use. In your suggestion, the "réducteur" part is redundant with "à engrenages" (I mean, you need to use one or the other), and you need the word "entraînement" to translate "drive". Sorry I don't have time to provide a reference... |
