The adjustable pivot shoe bearing has been designed to facilitate correction of minor gear misalignment. Gear misalignment is corrected by rotating or "dialing" the bearing to one of six different positions. Any given bearing may be rotated a total of 180° (i.e., set screw locations 1 thru 7, see Figure 1) for gearing alignment correction. For any given "Main Split-Line" pinion, only one of the two bearings is to be adjusted. For "Cover-Mounted" pinions (on top of bull gear) either or both bearings may require adjustment. To determine which bearing(s) should be adjusted, refer to the following procedures.

This specification outlines the procedure for verifying static gear patterns. The final factory installed bearing dialing positions are predicted by engineering, based on calculations that reflect the full load conditions for the dynamic gear pattern. Adjustments can be made to the dialing positions based on the post test gear pattern check if deemed necessary by engineering. Field adjustments should be made per IL-2501 which describes the procedure for fine tuning the dynamic gear pattern.

J'ai finalement traduit par (très près de votre suggestion):
"roulements à sabots pivotants réglables". Qu'en pensez-vous? Et merci!

C'est plausible. Comme c'est pivot et non pivoting, j'ai plutôt penché pour le substantif mais il est peut-être utilisé comme adjectif....

Explanation:
D'après le reste du texte mentionné.
"bearings" me semble correspondre à "paliers" plutôt que "roulements" car il n'y a ici ni billes, ni rouleaux, ni aiguilles, etc.

Je me demande par ailleurs, s'il faut ou non ajouter "pivotants" ???
