Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial
English term or phrase: tilts
Hi, I am stuck on a term in a technical user manual. The word is "tilts" and although, from the context, I can guess at its meaning in English I have never heard of it before and cannot find a translation for it in French. Here is the whole sentence : "Check if the « Tilts » situated on the sides of the equipment did not turn into red"
Anyway help would be appreciated,

Thanks

viseur (de contrôle)
Explanation:
Vérifier que le viseur (de contrôle) situé sur le côté (de l’équipement) n’a pas tourné au rouge.

This is my interpretation. Think about old WC doors that had a half circle that was white when free and turned red when the booth was occupied.

In the same way this equipment shows a red dot when is off or not functioning.
