une boîte de jonction adaptée
Explanation:
JB is short for 'junction box'

I never like 'boîte de jonction', which always sounds to me too much like a calque of the EN term; 'boîte de dérivation' is another possibility, which I think is more natural FR, though as its function in this instance isn't actually anything to do with 'junction' or 'dérivation', it may seem a little incongruous.

GDT also suggests 'boîtier de raccordement', which might fit better in your case. In actual fact, to match the informal register of 'JB', you could do worse than simply say 'boîtier', and any practical electrician would understand perfectly what was required.

OK, so the consensus amongst our native-speaker colleagues seems to be 'boîte de jonction appropriée'

agree  Proelec: OK for "boîte de joncrion". "suitable" could also be "appropriée" in this case.
