For a start, is there anything about this kind of machine that might involve 'meshing'? I don't know much about machines used for welding.
I'm just wondering if in fact it might be an even worse typo, say for 'measured' — which is possibly more plausible? Could this document have been scanned and OCR-ed at some point, which could account for what would otherwise be an improbable typing error?
And do you have any idea at all what 'value' is given — perhaps you have a string somewhere with the units used, for example?
Ah yes, a scanno! What if it was originally 'meas'ed value' — that's just the sort of thing an OCR could get wrong! Or even 'measured', with the 'ur' getting corrupted to 'h' — I guess it's just conceivable!
Or a transcription error: someone mishearing mezh'r'd and typing it as mezh'd??? Crystal balls a-glinting here... |
