English term or phrase: slurry
I'm looking for a more complex translation than "boue", which I find too general.

"...including slurry, which is a mixture of faeces, urine, water, and straw....In this way, THE PRODUCT tends to homogenize the slurry, keep the nitrogen and remove odors."

engrais

Explanation:
I had a Fr>Eng text a few months ago on nitrate pollution in Belgium (some guys have all the luck!) and the Fr(Belg.) text used "engrais", which I translated as slurry - mainly animal waste, can be used as a fertiliser.

neutral  Conor McAuley: Fumier is - ahem - a "purer" form of "engrais", as I understand it
0 min
-> Fumier is "manure", and it is stored to allow its application as fertilizer later on.http://www.gov.mb.ca/agriculture/livestock/publicconcerns/cw...
