The coefficient of the interaction of SIFC and FDIA variables in the second model is not significant for any of the three countries indicating no differences in the marginal effects of direct investment abroad that move through IFC.

In other words, even though exports to SIFCs are higher, that does not make changes in the amount invested less efficient in promoting even more exports (there are no different returns in the investment for SIFC and non-SIFCs).

The implication is that the higher level of FDIA to SIFCs is unambiguously associated with higher exports than the FDIA to non-SIFCs.

*SIFC = Small International Financial Center (~tax haven)
*FDIA = Foreign Direct Investment Abroad

En d'autres mots, bien que les exportations vers les SIFC [?] soient supérieures, les écarts entre les investissements n'en rendent pas moins efficace la promotion de plus d'exportations encore (les investissements dans les SIFC offrent le même rendement que ceux effectués hors-SIFC).

SIFC [?]: si j'en crois la seule source que j'ai trouvée qui aille dans le sens du "small international finance center", il s'agit d'une appellation qui désigne en fait un (petit) pays de l'UE. J'ai donc l'impression que SIFC se traduirait (PCFI?).
