Ce qui est plus stable et solide que des rallonges a chaque bout.

pour moi un abattant se trouve sur les côtés et peut se replier. Il me semble difficile d'avoir un abattant central.

agree  Claudia Iglesias: moi j'ai un abattant central. Quand on ne s'en sert pas il est rabattu sous la table, ce n'et pas une rallonge. Évidemment tout dépend de la table.
