English term or phrase: Player
Bonjour !

Je cherche une traduction pour ce terme employé dans le contexte des relations amoureuses. Voici deux définitions trouvées sur Urban Dictionary qui collent tout à fait à ce qui est dit dans mon texte :

"A guy who is sustaining supposedly exclusive relationships with multiple girls simultaneously"

"A male who is skilled at manipulating ("playing") others, and especially at seducing women by pretending to care about them, when in reality they are only interested in sex. Possibly derived from the phrases "play him for a fool", or "play him like a violin". The term was popularized by hip-hop culture, but was commonly recognized among urban American blacks by the 1970s."

chasseur

Explanation:
ou "chacal" (connotation plus négative). On dit aussi beaucoup "un player" :-(

Example sentence(s):
  • Chasseur: Se dit d'une personne (généralement un homme) qui aime séduire,"collectionneur" de conquêtes comme Dom Juan. (ex: "Ce mec c'est un gros chasseur, il est sorti avec toute les meufs de sa classe en trois semaines!")
