English to French translations [PRO] Science - Geology / Geology | | English term or phrase: boulder field | | environmental study :partly describes the habitat of some lizard species on a mountain range set for mining development. A canadian source gave me "champs de boules" but I am a bit concerned about québéquois habit of making everything look as french as possible (not being nasty, just cautious!) |

| Clarification request(s) and responseDominic D: 8:34am May 25, 2007: This is probably a good "description" but the translation of the term "boulder field" in most UNESCO and French and Canadien government documents that I have found is "champs de blocs" I'm not sure if this choice should go into the glossary.

Explanation: j'ai trouvé ceci dans "the asian multilignual theasurus of geosciences"
c'est un fichier pdf très lourd (633 pages !!!) en double page donc pas facile à lire (vaut mieux enregistrer une copie) mais il y a tout dedans en anglais et français (et 9 autres langues d'Asie !!)
Et il fait référence car il est sponsorisé par l'UNESCO et le ministère des affaires étrangères
