Analysis of the geotechnical borehole logs indicate that the jointing, as measured relative to the core axis, is variable in that:
• 35% of the «joints» reviewed comprise three «joint sets».
• 41% of the joints reviewed comprise a single joint set (orientation 60° to 90°, i.e. subhorizontal).
• 24% of the joints reviewed comprise two joint sets. Of these:
o 20% comprise orientations of 0° to 30° (sub-vertical) and 60 to 90° (sub-horizontal).
o 3.6% comprise 30° to 60° (oblique) and 60 to 90° (sub-horizontal).
o 0.4% comprise 0° to 30° (sub-vertical) and 30 to 90° (oblique).
On a macro-scale, the large-scale joint expression of the joints intersected in the boreholes appears to be slightly undulating.
On a micro-scale, the joint surfaces are variable. The majority of joint surfaces identified from the recovered cores are rough stepped/irregular (48%). 27% of the joint surfaces are smooth stepped. Random joint surfaces are rough undulating, smooth undulating, rough planar, smooth planar and slickensided stepped.
Joint surfaces are generally clean. However, when developed, gouge typically comprises non-softening material (coarse), non-softening material (medium), non-softening material (fine), soft sheared material (coarse) and soft sheared material (fine).
No alteration of the joint walls was noted, i.e. the strength of the joint wall equals that of the intact rock.

J'essaie de bien comprendre, comment faire la différence entre la diaclase et la fissure. dans le termium 'joint sets" est traduit par groupe de fissures.
