English to French translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Geology / geotechnical study
English term or phrase: R.L. surface (m2)
This appears in a test pit log for a geotechnical study. Very common expression in all these types of documents in Australia but no explanation is given about what the acronym stands for.

agree  Joshua Pepper: This link also explains it quite nicely: http://www.fao.org/docrep/R4082E/r4082e04.htm Edit: it seems that the Reduced Level can be with respect to any "common datum", and not just the MSL, as in the link that I gave. Just need to find a translation now!

-> Thanks. I have no idea how to translate it. I doubt that "niveau réduit" will do.
