Que fait-on en présence d'une citation tirée d'un ouvrage anglais dans un texte anglais, citation qui n'a jamais été traduite officiellement en français? Doit-on laisser la citation en langue originale et la traduire entre (), doit-on la traduire et mettre une note du traducteur en précisant qu'il s'agit d'une traduction non officielle?

Widely used by writers in literature, language studies, and other fields in the humanities, the MLA style of documentation allows writers to keep texts "as readable and as free of disruptions as possible" (143).

Inclure entre parenthèses dans le texte et si trop long faire un renvoi en bas de page.
