Bien sûr, il y a des traductions directes de l'expression idiomatique qui sont exactes ou le seraient dans le cas d'un projet; or ici l'auteur semble IMO évoquer un événement qui aurait pu être évité, ou au contraire aurait pu se produire, d'où mes propositions d'un autre type...
