Je trouve les autres propositions excellentes, ce qui me gêne c'est comment replacer *prêt à* et *over the years*. *Avec le temps il est devenu prêt à* n'est pas terrible, et c'est pourquoi je propose par exemple *avec le temps, il s'est préparé à envisager de nouvelles perspectives*. Il me semble que l'idée d'évolution est ainsi retranscrite.
