International Org/Dev/Coop / Title appearing in a conference programme | | English term or phrase: The same is not the same | | I am translating the programme of a series of sessions that are part of a conference. At some point, there is an instrumental break entitled “Touching the past”- the same is not the same. The text explains that the same piece by Beethoven will be played on historic and modern instruments. Now I'm struggling trying to find a decent French translation for "the same is not the same". I've found "il n'en est pas de même" but I don't think it is appropriate here. Any idea? |
