Explanation:
Two years ago, I translated into French the user's manual of this "Steadicam", which must be said "Steadicam" or "support de caméra Steadicam" in French.
In fact, the Steadicam is a product from ProVid (Cinema Products), a company based in Los Angeles, and it is used as a stabilizer for images. The camera is fixed upon the Steadicam, which is fitted with a counterweight and order to stabilize the camera when the cameraman is walking. By this way, the cameraman can run or walk and shoot images at the same time, but the image is stable on the screen.
