La Convention Preuves de La Haye
Most of the important Hague conventions have an official short name in both French and English (the two official languages of the Hague Conference on Private International Law). In this case, the "Hague Evidence Convention" (which is short for "The Hague Convention of 18 March 1970 on the Taking of Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters") translates to "la Convention Preuves de La Haye". See the Hague Conference's Website (www.hcch.net) for more info. The Hague Conference is the international organization which drafted and still monitors this convention.
