Ok, I've kind of stolen this one but there's a chain of shops in France and elsewhere called "Cash Converters", which buys second-hand goods from the public and resells them to he public at a margin. The name finally makes sense.

Alternatively (see link below, 1st hit on Google for the source term):

"The duration between the sale of a firm's inventory and the collection of accounts receivable for the sale of that inventory.

This cycle is extremely important for companies whose focus is in the retail sector. It illustrates how quickly a company can convert its products into cash through sales.

Actually, scratch the above. It\'s really the stock rotation period, ie how long goods are in stock before they are sold.
