English to French translations [Non-PRO] Marketing - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / Paint your own pottery studio | | English term or phrase: Made by Me | This is the name of a pottery studio in America where people can come and paint blank pieces of pottery, plates, mugs etc. which are then professionally fired and ready for collection a few days later.
I have a friend who wants to open such an operation in France and is trying to come up with a catchy name. They quite like the idea of keeping something English in the name. So far:
Céramique soi-même
My Poterie Place
Ma belle assiette
Any suggestions or thoughts would be welcome. |
| | | French translation:Made by Me | Explanation: strong, very catchy and everybody will understand ...
If you mix French and English, a word or an other will catch, because people will think that there is a spelling mistake ... and they will laugh and joke about it (like the second one).
If there are no restrictions to use these terms in France or Europe, tell your friend to keep them!
And if not, certainly nothing with "assiette" (restaurant) , céramique or potterie (thousands) .... |
