English term or phrase: air-flow
Hi

I don't understand the following sentence, and especially the word "in-flow": "Transmission is cooking. Can we get air-flow at all?"

The text I'm translating talks about scientifics chasing tornadoes in a special car (a Tornado Intercept Vehicule).

I'd translate the beginning of the sentence into: "la transmission ne fonctionne plus" but for the rest, I don't understand what "air-flow" means...

Could you help me please? Thanks in advance.
