Scan ou Computerized Tomography Scan (en français, balayage tomographique par ordinateur) est un test plus précis que les traditionnels rayons-x. L’examen du patient ne dure que quelques minutes. On nous injecte une teinture spéciale à base de fruits de mer et on nous fait passer un appareil en forme d’arc au dessus du corps. Si vous avez des allergies aux fruits de mer, vous devez le mentionner aux techniciens (on vous le demande de toutes façons). Curieusement, il est rare que les personnes allergiques aux fruits de mer aient des réactions à cette teinture. Dans mon cas, je suis allergique, je n’ai eu que de petites rougeurs sur le corps. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans la salle pour intervenir en cas de réactions sévères. On appelle communément ce test, un CAT Scan.
