A slight clenching habit was described. All intraoral and oropharyngeal structures appeared within normal limits. Salivation was adequate in volume and serous in consistency. Moderate plaque, mild calculus and stain deposits were present."

Le bruxisme et le « clenching », (serrage intense des deux maxillaires), dissolvent l’émail à distance du contact inter-dentaire. Cette dissolution concerne la couche de cristaux d’émail, ainsi que la dentine. Elle est plus marquée en cas d’acidité entretenue par la plaque dentaire.
