Jonathan MacKerron: 8:33pm Jul 11, 2007: I can only imagine that "backing out" denotes "loosening", but a very odd way of putting it
Jonathan MacKerron: 8:40pm Jul 11, 2007: I did find lots of googles for "backing out screws", which I understood to mean "dévisser"
Drmanu49: 8:31am Jul 16, 2007: Sorry to disagree but this is not loosening it is backing out and that may happen without the screw turning.

dessertissage ou désancrage

Explanation:
En terme de chirurgie orthopédique, il est fort impropable, voir même
impossible qu'une vis se desserre, car lorsque l'os ou le cartillage se reforme ou que le ciment prothétique a scellé les éléments, la vis ne peut pas tourner, mais elle peut tout à fait se désceller suite aux mouvements, aux chocs ou toute autre action externe. D'autant plus
qu'une fois cassé l'os est beaucoup plus fragilisé.
