Explanation:
La lactation désigne le fait, pour une femelle mammifère adulte, de produire du lait pour allaiter ses petits, femelles ou mâles. Les mâles dont on parle dans le texte à traduire ne peuvent donc être "à lactation prolongée" puisque non femelles ! C'est pourquoi il faut, à mon avis, développer un peu en français !
